What medications and supplements can I set up?

Currently we have over 8,000 medications and supplements in our database. If one of your medications or supplements is not yet in our system, please send us a note at support@mangohealth.com.

Can I add my own medication or supplement?
If you cannot find a medication or supplement in our system, it's not currently possible to set up custom reminders. However, we are considering features that allow you to manually input your own medications and supplements, though we would not be able to provide the same information for these to start.

If this is a feature you'd be interested in, send us a note at support@mangohealth.com.
How do I refill a medicine?
When it’s time to refill, you will receive a notification at the top of your home screen. Tap ‘Refill Now’ to update your med ‘Total Quantity’. You can also refill by taking the following steps:

1. Scroll to the ‘My Health’ panel of your home screen, and tap the medicine you'd like to refill.
2. On the next screen, tap 'Edit' in the top right corner.
3. Then adjust the ‘Total Quantity’ of your med to match what you have on hand.
4. Once you've finished, make sure to hit 'Save' in the top right.
How do I change a medicine's schedule?
1. Tap into 'My Health', either on the menu or home screen panel.

2. Select the med, and on the next screen, tap ‘Edit’ in the top right corner.

3. Next to 'Frequency', use the drop-down menus to change the number of scheduled reminders. To set a more complex reminder schedule (such as doses every other day, every two weeks, or once a month), toggle the ‘Interval Schedule’ option on, and use the scrolling menus below to enter your schedule.

4. Then use the following 'Reminder' fields to change the reminder times of your medication schedule.

5. Don’t forget to 'Save' your changes when you’ve finished.
What is an 'Interval Schedule'?
The 'Interval Schedule' option allows you to set up reminders at intervals that are not daily or weekly frequencies. For instance, with the 'Interval Schedule' you can schedule dose reminders every other day, every two weeks, or once a month. To do this:

1. Begin adding your medication, and make sure 'Interval Schedule' is toggled on.
2. Use the scroll menus below to enter your schedule. Make sure the ‘Start Date’ is correct.
3. Don’t forget to 'Save' in the top right corner when you’ve finished.

2. On the next screen, tap ‘Edit’ in the top right corner.

3. Next to 'Frequency', use the drop-down menus to switch from 'Daily' to 'Weekly' reminders.
4. Multiply the original 'Frequency' by 7. (For instance, a 1x Daily reminder would become a 7x Weekly reminder.)

Reminder 1: Monday, 8AM
Reminder 2: Tuesday, 8AM
Reminder 3: Wednesday, 8AM
Reminder 4: Thursday, 8AM

On the next screen, make sure 'Take As Needed' is toggled on, then tap 'Save' in the top right.

How do I delete a medication?

2. After you’ve selected the name of the medication, tap 'Edit' in the top right corner.
3. Then tap the red text ‘Finish’ in the bottom left.

Note that finishing a medication maintains your history of it, but moves it to the ‘Past’ section of your med list. If you'd like to keep your med as ‘Current’ but stop receiving reminders, we recommend toggling on 'Take As Needed' instead.

 To delete a med permanently:

1. Follow the steps above to 'Finish Med'.

3. Tap on the med name, then 'Edit' in the top right.
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen, then tap the red 'Delete Med' button.

1. Tap on the med’s image on the home screen's 'My Health' panel, or find it by navigating through the menu.
2. Tap 'Edit' in the top right, and then you'll be able to customize your med icon with the 'Form' and 'Color' fields. If your selected form is 'Tablet', you’ll also be able to select a custom 'Shape'.
3. Use the drop-down menus next to these fields to open the list of available options.
4. After you've updated your icon, tap 'Save' to update your medication.

I'm on an Android Device. Where is the Move More habit?
We’ve temporarily removed the Move More habit on Android devices as we’ve found that its performance is not where we’d like it to be. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience as we work to improve this feature of the app.
If you’d like to be notified when this will be available again on Android, let us know at support@mangohealth.com.

Managing Your Account

How do I transfer my account to another device?
Transferring your account—including your health schedule, history, and points balance—is easy. All you'll need to do is make sure you've registered your account on your existing device. To do this, enter your 'Settings' and make sure you see your email address listed. (If you don't see your email address, tap 'Register' to create an account.)

Once you have an account, open the app on your new device, and go to 'Settings' then 'Login'.
After you submit the email address and password you originally submitted to create your account, your data will be restored.

4. We will then send you an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

1. Enter the app’s ‘Settings’, then tap on your password.
2. On the following screen, submit the email address listed is the one you used to register with Mango Health.
3. We will then send you an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

2. Tap on this, and enter your new email address twice, as well as your password.
3. Once you’ve tapped 'Submit', you’re all set.
Can I reset my account?
It is not currently possible to reset your account history and scores. We do understand this would be a valuable feature, however, and we will look to include it in a future update.

In the meantime, if you would like to clear your existing info to create a new account, see the next article, 'How do I deactivate my account?' for instructions.
How do I deactivate my account?
Before you deactivate your account, think twice! Please keep in mind that if you do this, your health history and points balance will be permanently lost and unrecoverable.

If you haven't registered:
1.
Enter the app’s ‘Settings’.
2. Tap 'Delete My Data' from an Apple device, or ‘Clear My Data’ from an Android device, then hit ‘Yes, I’m sure’.

If you have registered:
1.
 Enter the app’s ‘Settings’.
2. Then ‘Logout’ of the app.

Once you've taken these steps, don't forget to delete the app from your phone. (If you're on an Android device, make sure to visit your Application Manager to fully 'Uninstall' the app.)

If you have registered and would like us to permanently remove your account info from our records, please write to us via the 'Contact Us' form in the app. Note that for security reasons, we will ask for additional information to confirm your ownership of the account.

Tracking Your History

I took my med, but it's marked missed. Why?
Currently, the app allows you to mark medications and habits up to 30 minutes before or 4 hours after the scheduled reminder time. This is a time frame we developed with clinicians, though we are considering a more flexible reminder option in the future.

If you took your med outside this time frame but would like to update your history, check out our 'How do I update my med history?' article for instructions.

If you think you're seeing something else in the app, please let us know. You can get in touch with the 'Contact Us' form in the app, or by email to support@mangohealth.com.
How do I update my med history?

If you marked a medication or habit but didn't tap on time, the good news is that the app features a 'History' editing feature for exactly this reason - folks wanting an accurate record of med takes. To do this:

1. Open the menu and tap 'History'
2. Select the day with the dose you'd like to edit
3. Tap on the missed (red) med icon you'd like to change
4. You will see a pop-up window which asks 'Edit your history?'
5. Tap 'OK'.

Please note: while editing your 'History' adjusts your adherence percentages, streaks, and perfect days, it does not affect points. It’s also not currently possible to edit habit history, though we are looking to include this feature in a future update.

Why isn't my med quantity getting lower?
If any of your meds are the following forms, you may notice that your med quantity does not get any lower:

Cream, Foam, Gel, Gel-Forming Solution, Lotion, Ointment, Paste, Powder, or Shampoo

These med forms are a bit hard for us to track. As a result, you will not see your Total Quantity' of any of these forms decrease, and you will not receive a refill reminder.

If you are taking any meds that are Drops or Tincture forms, your quantity will decrease by 0.05 mL every time you tap 'I took it'.

Reminders are delivered via Apple's push notifications. To check that these are enabled, open the ‘Settings’ app on your device, tap 'Notifications', and make sure 'Mango Health' is listed.

Still having trouble? Send us a note at support@mangohealth.com.
How are reminders delivered on Android devices?
Reminders appear in your Android notification tray as well as through a Mango Health banner notification on your device's home screen. If you are using Android 5.0 (‘Lollipop’) and above, notifications will also appear on your device lock screen.

If you are using Android 6.0 ('Marshmallow'), you may want to disable 'Doze mode' to ensure you receive your notifications. To do this:

1. Open the 'Settings' app and tap 'Battery'.
2. Select the 'Options' menu button (the three dots in the upper right), then 'Battery optimization'.
3. Tap the downward-pointing arrow, then 'All apps' from the menu that appears.
4. Next, tap 'Mango Health'. In the box that appears, select 'Don’t optimize', then 'Done'.

Note that you can re-enable 'Doze mode' at any time — simply repeat the process above and select 'Optimize'.
Do I need to be online to receive reminders?
No, your device does not need to be connected to the internet or a wireless data service provider in order for you to receive reminder notifications. However, you do need to be online to set up reminders, as well as to enter medications or habits.
How do I stop receiving reminders?
1. Tap into 'My Health', either through the home screen or menu.
2. Select the habit or the name of the medication with the reminders you'd like to stop receiving.
3. Tap 'Edit' in the top right corner.
4. For medications: on the next screen, toggle on ‘Take as Needed’For habits: toggle off 'Reminders'.
5. Tap ‘Save’ when you're done.

If you’re on an Apple device and you’d like to turn off “last chance” reminders, tap ‘More’ in the bottom right, then enter ‘Settings’. Under ‘Reminder Settings’, toggle the ‘Last Chance Reminders’ setting OFF.
How do I customize my refill reminder?
If you're on an Apple device, you can customize your refill reminders. The standard 'Refill Reminder Time' is 5 days. (Android users, stay tuned! This feature is coming soon.)

1. Tap the ‘More’ tab in the bottom right corner.
2. Select ‘Settings’, and then ‘Refill Reminder Time’.
3. Select your desired refill reminder.
4. Tap the back arrow (<) in the top left corner to return to 'Settings'

Creating an Account

Do I need to register to use the app?
You do not need to register to use Mango Health. However, we highly recommend it!

Registering will ensure you are able to restore your information in case you lose or upgrade your device, delete and reinstall the application, etc. Registering also allows you to access and track your Mango Health information — such as your health schedule and points balance — on more than one device.
How do I register?
On Apple devices:
1. Tap ‘More’ in the bottom right corner.
2. Select ‘Settings’, and then ‘Register’.
3. On the next screen, enter your email address and password.
4. Once you hit 'Submit' in the top right corner, you will receive a confirmation email to the address provided.

On Android devices:
1. Open the menu by tapping in the top left corner.
2. Tap 'Settings’ then 'Register a New Account'.
3. On the next screen, enter your email address and password.
4. Once you input this info and hit the blue 'Submit' button, you will receive a confirmation email to the address provided.
Do I need an activation code?

We use activation codes for certain programs that we run with healthcare companies, or when we are distributing the app at certain events, such as charity runs. You do not need an activation code to get started with the app, and it does not change your chances of winning in our raffle.

Earning Points

What are Mango Points?
Mango Points help you track your progress in the Mango Health app. Mango Health gives you points when you record all of your medications and/or habits for the day, on schedule.  As you earn points, you level up and unlock chances to win gifts. (See the section 'WINNING GIFTS' for more info.)
How do I earn points?
You earn 10 Mango Points each day that you take all of your scheduled medications and supplements correctly. To earn points, you’ll need to mark medication reminders as ‘taken’. You have up to 30 minutes before or 4 hours after the scheduled time to respond to reminders. It is an all-or-nothing system so if you miss any one reminder you don't get any points for the day.

You can also earn up to 15 points each day you stick to your habit schedule (5 points per habit, for up to 3 habits). To earn habit points, you need to log and tap 'Save' for habit reminders on the in-app reminder window.

In total, you can earn a maximum of 25 Mango Points per day.
Do more meds mean more points?
More medications do not mean more points. Every person using Mango Health earns 10 points for each day that all scheduled medications and supplements are taken on time, regardless of how many you take.
How many levels are there?
Currently the app features eight levels, however, we are thinking to expand higher-level VIP type programs in the future. We'd love your feedback on what you might like to see - whether that's more levels, points bonuses, special raffle gifts, etc. Let us know what you'd be interested in at support@mangohealth.com.
How do I invite friends for points?
If you're on an Apple device, you can earn extra points for inviting friends to use Mango Health. (Android users, stay tuned! This feature is coming soon.)

You can earn up to 50 points for inviting 5 friends, with 10 points for each friend. To do this:

1. Tap on the 'Invite Friends' section of your home screen.
2. After your Contacts list shows up, tap on the name of the contact you'd like to invite.
3. If you tap on their email address or phone number, a pre-written invitation message will appear. (Make sure to tap directly on the black text of your contact's email address or phone number for a pre-populated invitation message -- based on the default iOS settings, tapping anywhere else will just lead to a blank message.)
4.
Tap 'Send', and you will see an alert that tells you you've earned +10 points, as well as a new friend icon on your home screen.

Winning Gifts

How do points earn me gifts?
Earning points makes you eligible to win Mango Gifts, which are awarded by raffle each week. As you earn more points, you reach higher levels or Level Up. Higher levels unlock higher value gifts in the weekly drawings.

You can browse the gifts that you have a chance to win by tapping the 'Points' section on the home screen. On the next screen, tap 'Info' in the top right corner to see how many points are required for each level.
How do I enter the raffle?
You are automatically entered to win our weekly raffles as long as you've been active within the app in the past 7 days, and you have not previously won at the given level. Note that winning at any one level does not affect your chances of winning at another level.
How many points do I need to win a gift?
As soon as you reach Level 2, you have a chance to win gifts in our weekly drawings. The following table outlines the number of points needed to reach new levels in the app, as well as the gift values of each level.

Level  Points  # of Gifts Per Week  Gift Value
1 0 0 None
2 50 3,000 $1 value
3 100 100 $5 value
4 250 25 $10 value
5 500 15 $25 value
6 1,000 10 $50 value
7 2,000 5 $75 value
8 5,000 1 $100 value
How do I know if I've won?
Winners are chosen weekly on Friday. If you are a winner, you will receive a winner notification that takes you through the steps to claim your gift. Please note your phone needs to be connected to a cellular or wifi connection in order to claim your gift.
Can I choose my gift?
Yes! If you win, you will be able to make your selection among the available gifts. The gift screen you see after receiving winner notification will display the gifts that are available.

You can also browse the gifts at your level at any time. To see the gifts that you have a chance to win, tap the 'Points' section on the home screen.
How do I redeem or reject my gift?
If you win in one of our weekly raffles, you can claim your gift by responding to the notification at the top of your home screen. Tap the ‘Redeem Gift’ button to make your selection among the available gifts.

If you do not want to claim your gift, you can tap the ‘No Thanks’ button on the left instead. Please note that if you choose not to claim the gift, you may not win again for that level. Not accepting a gift at one level does not increase your chances of winning at higher levels.
I claimed my gift. Where is it?
After you claim your gift, you will receive your gift info in your in-app inbox. If you haven't received your gift info after 24 hours, feel free to send us a note through the ‘Contact Us’ form in the app, or by email at support@mangohealth.com.
How do you choose winners?

Eligible users are chosen randomly for each level in the app. Winners are chosen weekly on Fridays. Not sure if you’re eligible? Check out the article, 'How do I enter the raffle?'

The number of gifts given for each level is outlined in the article, 'How many points do I need to win a gift?'

Note that not accepting a gift at one level does not increase your chances of winning at later levels. For more information, please visit our Terms of Use.

Where can I see who won?
Great question! If you've registered in the app, you'll know that we only ask for your email address and a password to create an optional account. This means that since we don't have names in our records, we cannot post a list of weekly raffle winners.

However, we do host raffles from time to time on our Facebook page. Winners of these raffles are announced publicly when the contest has been closed. To stay informed, like our page at facebook.com/mangohealth.

Managing Your Inbox

Where does your drug information come from?
When you enter medications and supplements into the application we do our best to warn you about potential interactions with other medications. Our drug information content, including information on potential drug interactions, is provided by our partner Lexicomp, a division of Wolters Kluwer.

Lexicomp’s content is independently collected, validated, and published. Decisions involving incorporation of content are based on levels of evidence and peer-review consensus. For more information, please visit the Lexicomp website.

Remember that you should not rely on Mango Health alone to take your medications, and that the use of Mango Health may not be appropriate in all circumstances.
How do I delete an inbox message?
If you're on an Apple device, you can delete a message by swiping left on the message, then tapping the red 'Delete' button that appears. (Android users, stay tuned! This feature is coming soon.)

Note that even after you delete drug interactions and information from your inbox, it will still be available to reference in 'My Health'.

If you’ve accidentally deleted a message with your gift info, don’t worry! Send us message with the 'Contact Us' form in the app, and we’d be happy to resend it to you.

What are the official rules to the Mango Health Gift Program...

In connection with the Service, we may make available a user gift program (the “Gift Program”), where you can become eligible to be entered into weekly drawings (“Drawings”) to receive gift cards, charity donations and other items (collectively, “Gifts”) in connection with your accrual of points that you may earn by using the Service (“Mango Points”). Mango Points can be accumulated by engaging in certain actions via the Service, such as when you take your Medications and Supplements on schedule.

We reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether a particular action qualifies for Mango Points. After accumulating Mango Points, you will be automatically entered into a weekly drawing for a Gift based upon your Mango Point level (see the section titled “Drawings” below for more information). Please note that you may be required to provide additional information to Mango Health or a third party merchant in order to redeem certain Gifts, and processing fees may also be applicable to Gift redemption.

We will use reasonable efforts to ensure that your Mango Points are viewable via your Account within 7 days from accrual. DRAWINGS

As noted above, a user can become eligible to be entered into Drawings for the chance to receive Gifts via the Service based upon the number of Mango Points such user earns in connection with his or her use of the Service. The following terms and conditions apply to such Drawings:

- NO ENTRY FEE. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
- Drawings are sponsored by Mango Health.
- Drawings are held on or around the dates specified at support.mangohealth.com for each Mango Point level.
- Drawings are open to legal residents of the U.S. who have accessed or used the Service in the seven (7) day period prior to the applicable Drawing. Employees of Mango Health and its affiliates and agencies are not eligible to participate in Drawings.
- Mango Health users who accrue a threshold level of Mango Points will be automatically entered into a Drawing each week. Each week, Mango Health will hold up to ten (10) drawings, with eligibility for Drawing based upon a Mango Point range. Users will be entered into the weekly Drawing that is associated with the Mango Point total in the user’s Account each week. Each user may only win one (1) Drawing per Mango Point range. More information on Mango Point levels associated with each Drawing is accessible at support.mangohealth.com.
- Each Drawing will be conducted either by independent persons or a computer program that automatically chooses the winners from all eligible users, and the random selections are final and binding.
- Winners will be notified via the Service or via email within one (1) week of the Drawing date.
- The number, type and approximate retail value of Gifts associated with each Drawing is accessible on the information details screen associated with each Gift within the Service or at support.mangohealth.com.
- The odds of winning a Gift depend on the eligible number of users for each Drawing.
- No cash or substitution of Gifts is permitted, except at the sole discretion of Mango Health for a prize of equal or greater value.
- Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, if any, that apply to Gifts.
- If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible or fails to claim a Gift within seven (7) days of the Drawing date, the Gift may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected from the remaining eligible users.
- Mango Health reserves the right to disqualify any user or winner as determined by Mango Health, in its sole discretion.
- Drawings are subject to these Terms and all applicable, federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations apply.
